Lady Grey Maker Space

We have a grade 4-7 population with diverse movement and learning needs. We started some small hands on projects in the past and saw how students engaged in these type of activities. We saw a need for choice, creativity, movement and imagination in our school day.

We purchased a number of tools and work tables for the school. We focused on school connectedness and problem solving as we planned to open the maker space doors to classes. The room has a locking tool box, a cupboard full of tools, a few computers and ipads for research and presentations, loads of cardboard, wood, plasticine, clay, and bins of household materials such as cups, marbles, egg cartons, string, lego, boxes to name a few. Not all items had to be purchased.
